Privacy Policy

We protect your personal data and respect your privacy at every step
The platform and privacy contact
Modaresy is an online platform that helps parents find and contact independent teachers and specialists. It is operated by the Modaresy platform management. For privacy questions, or to ask us to correct or delete your data, email modaresykwt@gmail.com and state the type of request. Never send your password or verification code. You can also use the "Report a complaint" form and mention that your request is about privacy.
Data you give us
We collect the account data needed to register, sign in and communicate, such as your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, area and account type, depending on the sign-up method and required fields. We also process the contact-request data a parent submits, such as the chosen service provider, subject, grade, area, notes and request status. Please include only what is needed for the requested service and avoid notes the provider does not need to get in touch.
Accounts and contact requests are for parents or the adult making the request; children are not asked to create an account or submit their own data. When requesting a specialist, a parent may choose to mention the child's health or learning condition in the notes. Please keep this to the minimum the specialist needs. These notes are shown only to the chosen provider and to authorised administrators when needed, and are never published.
For teachers and specialists, we process professional profile data such as specialty, qualification, experience, services, service areas and methods, photo and offers, depending on the fields used. We also process reviews, complaints, and support or account-deletion requests submitted by users.
Verification documents
When you apply for verification, we may ask for identity, qualification and experience documents, and you may attach a CV or supporting files. These documents are used only to review the application, and only authorised administrators can access them. We do not publish images or files of these documents to visitors or other users. Private uploaded documents are separate from the professional text a provider chooses to add to their public profile.
Technical data and consent records
We may process technical data needed to run, secure and measure the platform, such as browser and device information, IP address, and logs related to requests, messages and page interactions. This does not include the content of private WhatsApp conversations held directly between the parties outside the platform.
When you create an account, we keep a record of your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, including the time of acceptance, the version of both documents you accepted, and the IP address it was made from, so that the acceptance can be evidenced if needed.
How we use data
We use data to create accounts and verify sign-in, display professional profiles, deliver contact requests to the chosen provider, follow up on request status, send service notifications and review requests, review verifications and complaints, prevent misuse and improve the platform. When you order a paid platform service, we use the data needed to manage, activate and record its payment status. We do not sell users' personal data.
Public and private data, and sharing request data
Profile data approved for publication may be shown, such as name, specialty, experience, photo, areas, services, offers and approved reviews. Private account data, verification documents and administrative records are not part of the public profile.
A parent's WhatsApp number and request details are made available to the provider the parent chose, according to the request's access rules, and are not published to visitors or other providers. This data may be used only to coordinate the requested service. Authorised administrators may access it when needed to run the service, review a complaint or handle misuse.
Service providers and third parties
We use technical services needed to run the platform, such as hosting, data storage, messaging, email and traffic measurement, and payment services when used to sell platform services. These include Meta services, both for sending the platform's WhatsApp messages and for the Meta Pixel measurement tool described below. These parties receive the data needed for the relevant service, and some data may be processed outside the State of Kuwait by technical service providers. We may disclose data when legally required or when requested by a competent authority.
WhatsApp, email and notifications
You may receive messages related to your use of the platform, including verification codes, account and contact-request notifications and reminders, a question to the parent on whether contact took place, review requests, and replies about support, verification and paid services you request. We separate these operational messages from marketing messages; we do not use contact data for marketing without separate consent, and we provide a way to stop marketing messages. Disabling essential messages may prevent some features that depend on them from working.
Cookies and measurement tools
The platform uses cookies and browser storage to run sessions, remember some choices, avoid duplicate events and measure use of the service. When Meta Pixel is enabled, Meta's measurement tool is used to measure events such as page views, searches, sign-ups and ad-campaign effectiveness, and Meta may receive related visit, device and event information. We do not send the content of notes or verification documents for advertising. You can manage storage and cookies in your browser settings; blocking some of them may affect platform features.
External links and the WhatsApp community
When you move to WhatsApp or another external service, its own policies and terms apply. Joining the Modaresy community group is optional and may let members see your number or WhatsApp account details depending on the group's features and settings. Please consider this before joining, and do not share private information in the group.
Data retention
We keep account and profile data while providing the service, and contact-request data for as long as needed to manage it and review related reviews or complaints. We keep verification documents for as long as needed for review and to evidence verification status, consent records for the life of the account and afterwards for as long as needed to evidence them, and complaint and platform-service transaction records for as long as needed for their purpose or applicable legal obligations. We delete or de-identify data when the purpose ends and there is no legitimate reason to keep it.
Correcting data, deleting your account and privacy requests
You can edit the data your account settings allow, or contact us to correct other data or ask about it. You can request account deletion from within your account or by emailing the address in this policy. We may ask for reasonable information to verify the requester and protect the account from unauthorised deletion.
We review the request and explain the action taken and any data we must keep and why, within applicable legal requirements. Data may remain in protected backups until their retention cycle ends; these backups are not used to run the deleted account.
Data protection and user responsibility
We take technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data and access to it; no electronic method guarantees absolute security. Please protect your account and do not share verification codes or sign-in details. If you believe your account or data has been used without authorisation, contact us at the email above.
Changes to this policy
We publish the updated version on this page with its effective date and notify users of material changes in a suitable way, such as an in-platform notice or a message to the registered contact. We ask for additional consent where a change requires it. Accepting this policy is not separate consent to marketing messages.
Language
This policy is available in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic text prevails.
